About

I'm Odelle a productdesigner in Leeds who getsexcited about makingcomplicated things simple

I spend my days designing for clinics, salons and home buyers: places where "just work it out" is not an option. The people using these tools are busy, a little stressed and have real jobs to do. My job is to get out of their way.

I have worked on teams of two and teams of twenty. I have had months of user research and I have made careful guesses from very little. I have worked inside strict component libraries and built design systems from scratch. What stays the same is asking good questions, working with people who know more than me, and shipping things that really help.

Right now I am at Harrow Health, designing for mental health clinicians and the people who run their practices. Before that I spent almost two years at Clipbook, helping salons run their days, where I learnt that stylists have very strong opinions about scheduling screens, which I deeply respect.
When I am not designing, I am usually wondering why some interfaces feel obvious and others make you want to throw your laptop out of a window. Usually with a cup of tea.

My story

  • Starting with why, not what

Before I draw anything, I want to understand the problem we are actually solving. Sometimes the thing people ask for is not the thing they need. My favourite projects start with good questions and end with answers that feel obvious afterwards.

    think first, draw later.

  • Designing for real constraints

Perfect conditions do not exist. Budgets are tight, timelines are short, old systems are messy, and sometimes you cannot talk to users directly. I am comfortable making good decisions with imperfect information.

    no perfect world here!

  • Collaboration over hero design

The best work happens when designers, engineers and product people are talking to each other, not throwing things over a wall. I enjoy the back and forth of working out what is possible, what is practical and what will matter most.

    we, not me.

  • Making the invisible visible

Some of the most useful design work is not flashy. It is the progress indicator that keeps people oriented, the autosave that prevents panic, the error message that actually helps. These details build trust.

    details build trust.

My story

Timeline

  1. Harrow Health

Designing across scheduling, case management, treatment planning and clinical notes for mental health practices. The challenge is balancing what clinicians need with what administrators need, which are often very different things, while keeping everything compliant and usable.

    Sep 2025 to current

  2. Clipbook

Redesigned everything from appointment booking to stock control for a salon management platform. Worked directly with owners and stylists to understand their routines, then rebuilt features to match how they really work.

    Mar 2024 to Aug 2025

  3. Fenwick Consulting

Led UX strategy and discovery for large clients. Ran workshops with stakeholders who had very different ideas about what they were building, then helped everyone land on one page. Also mentored junior designers.

    Feb 2023 to Feb 2024

  4. Doorstep

Joined when the product worked but made little sense. Talked to buyers who were struggling, mapped where the interface was failing them, and redesigned the core journey. Also helped set the first brand direction.

My work

Let's talk

I do my best work on knotty problems, with people who are generous with what they know. If that sounds like your project, I would love to hear about it.
