Everyday beauty

Finding good design in ordinary things.

A studio table with brushes and prints

I keep a folder of small things that made me stop: a receipt with a well set total, a tea towel pattern, the way a bus timetable is folded.

None of it is grand. All of it is made by someone who cared about a detail nobody asked for.

Collecting these is the best design education I know. It trains the eye, and it reminds me that care is visible even when it is quiet.

Let's talk

I do my best work on knotty problems, with people who are generous with what they know. If that sounds like your project, I would love to hear about it.
